Sphinx Radar Survey

Glen Dash and Joan Dash position ground penetrating radar antennas on top of a masonry box attached to the haunch of the Sphinx. The purpose of the radar survey, conducted in association with Ancient Egypt Research Associates (AERA) and on behalf of Dr. Z. Hawass, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, was to see what the box contained. It never had been probed before.
